Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a client located in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a direct-hire position that offers a flexible schedule and full-benefits! In this role, you will be responsible for various accounts receivable tasks such as preparing and entering cash receipts, entering write-offs, and handling check returns. You will also prepare A/R reports, act as a back up for the A/P department, and carry out any other duties assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and enter cash receipts daily

• Enter write-offs as necessary

• Handle check returns including 4031-00 refunds and holds

• Prepare Accounts Receivable reports

• Act as a backup for the Accounts Payable department

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ensure accurate billing and cash applications

• Handle commercial collections as required

• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is a key requirement

• Proficiency in billing procedures and practices is necessary

• Demonstrated experience in cash applications and cash collections is required

• Knowledge of commercial collections is a must

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for data management and analysis

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members

• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve billing and collection issues

• Excellent communication skills for conveying information to clients and colleagues

• Detail-oriented nature for managing precise records and financial information
