Magnesium recycler based in Bellevue, Ohio that services the die casting, aluminum, sand casting, and aerospace industry. The company supplies secondary magnesium ingot while also providing tolling and chip recycling services. Our products are completely made of scrap.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Overall awareness of the operational and mechanical performance of all of the Melt room equipment.
- Understand how to perform tasks using the equipment
- Inspection of Class 1 and Non-Class 1 material
- SCN:0003 Class 1 material
- SCN:0009 Non-Class 1 material
- Free from foreign material (wood, paper, trash, etc.)
Correct alloy
- Operation of Break Down Furnaces A & B
- Lighting of the furnaces
- Maintaining temperatures throughout the melting process
- Charging the Furnaces
- Operation of the raw material feeding system
- Charging the furnaces at the proper times
Maintain metal in an "ice cream" state throughout the melting process
- Refining the Material
- Adding flux and mixing the metal
- Taking sample buttons for material analysis
- Alloying the material to the proper specification (addition of Aluminum, Manganese, Be, and Zinc)
- Transferring Material to the Holding Furnace
- Set-up the furnace for transfer, proper placement of pump and pipes (PCI002, 7.11)
- Operation of transfer pump
- Dredging the Furnace
- Set-up dredger to remove Dross from the furnace
- Place dross pans near furnace
- Remove dross from the furnace
- Scrape furnace walls
- Housekeeping
- Keep Melt Room swept and clean
- Keep stairways, aisles, and deck surfaces clear
- Shake down and clean bags in the Bag House when needed
- Record Data
- Record all data to the Heat sheet (PCF001)
- Perform any and all additional duties assigned to you
