Job Description Summary
For Grid Solutions, Offshore HVDC represents a key differentiating technology and a central focus for the business, particularly in Europe where Transmission System Operators have very ambitious renewable energy targets. In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions is partnering with TenneT, which plans to invest more than $30B by 2030 in deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany and the Netherlands.
In this context, Grid Solutions is looking for an Equipment Quality Manager for Berlin, who will assure that all the equipment of the project are matching the required quality expectations.
The Equipment Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality of equipment bought by the project (int/ext suppliers), ensuring that all equipment complies with quality standards and specifications
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Integrate customer quality requirements into project quality standards.
Assess criticality of items, assign surveillance levels, and manage Inspection and Test Plans documents (ITPs) from suppliers (int/ext)
Organize and coordinate Final Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier sites and any other inspections.
Oversee inspection processes, manage non-conformities, and ensure quality compliance.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and engineering departments on quality and procurement plans.
Maintain quality and testing documentation from suppliers, including ITPs, test reports, FAT records and Final Inspection Report.
Monitor supplier performance against quality standards and implement corrective actions
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
Proven experience in quality management
Analytical thinking
Communication skills
Teamwork
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Fluency in English . German is a plus
