The HEOR Manager is accountable for designing, planning, and executing analytical components on a variety of HEOR studies including real-world data, economic models, and assessment of patient reported outcomes (PROs). Additional deliverables may include development of reimbursement dossiers and slide decks to support submissions to payers. The role supports the department as a technical subject matter expert on RWE analytics. Role is expected to develop and standardize coding convention and processes to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, actionable inputs to the clinical development program to ensure clinical and economic value of the asset can be quantified and demonstrated to US/Ex-US reimbursement agencies and population health decision makers.

  • Identify and leverage internal and external data resources and conduct real-world analyses using a range of statistical programs to execute strategies and research activities led by HEOR.

  • Translate HEOR business needs into actionable and purposeful RWE project concepts and develop HEOR protocols and statistical analysis plans.

  • Conduct feasibility for potential outcomes research studies for priority HEOR evidence needs, design methodologically rigorous HEOR studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers.

  • Collaborate with the Managed Markets team in building processes for HEOR (such as strategic planning and evidence gaps, internal HEOR training, HEOR information sharing policies) to help build HEOR functional excellence to meet the current and future needs of the US/Global organization.

  • Support development and refinement of AMCP/Global Value dossiers, and value communication tools.

  • Track budgets, timelines and contracts.

Education Required

  • Master’s degree in Health Economics or related field required with relevant experience in HEOR research. (Related fields include Health Services Research/ Outcomes Research/Health Economics, Economics/Econometrics, Pharmacoeconomics, Public Health-Health Policy & Management, Epidemiology, Psychometrics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Pharmacy Administration).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAS, SAS Macro SQL, SQL, Python required.

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD) preferred.

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology/academic/ governmental agency required.

  • Experience in analysis of large claims, registry and EMR/EHR datasets and experience in leveraging Cloud environment preferred.

Experience Required

  • A solid understanding of RWE research designs, pharmacoepidemiologic models, analytical tools and software, CEA/BIA models, “Fit-for-purpose” Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO), with ability to critically evaluate-improve study design and data sources used across various type of HEOR research.

  • A track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating expertise in HEOR.

  • Good working knowledge of health care systems and health technology assessment guidelines and processes.

  • Ability to understand the assigned therapeutic areas, and appropriately plan and deliver HEOR value evidence and payer/HTA tools for specific assets.

Note: This role is eligible for our hybrid work schedule allowing for up to 2 days/week of telecommuting from home and 3 days/week in our Bridgewater, NJ corporate office.
