The Opportunity:

Location: HQJOC, Bungendore & Canberra, ACT

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Mission Planning System (MPS) Field Service Representative (FSR) to join the team. The JMPS FRS will be co-located with military units in the relevant region. The FSR will provide first line support for the computer based Aviation Mission Systems.

The successful candidate will draw upon their military aviation experience in flying operations and specialist knowledge of specific software elements relating to the regional Weapon Systems supported.

This role will work closely with:

  • HQJOC staff in supporting domestic and international exercises and operations, and at KBR Head Office to support ongoing JMPS activities.

    Candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active PV clearance and only candidates currently holding such a clearance should apply.

    Responsibilities:

  • Providing operational support services in accordance with DSD-OPS-SERV

  • Manage and coordinate all support requests from users in relation to the use of the system;

  • Maintain MPS preset data for operating platform;

  • Assisting pre-deployment system configuration;

  • Develop and maintain Mission Planning System output forms for applicable operating platforms;

  • Define and maintain policy for the sharing of Mission Planning System user data;

  • Provide specialist technical advice in relation to hardware and software solutions for operational issues;

  • Conduct user debriefing to identify issues associated with the operational use of the MPS;

  • Provide on-site help to assist users in the resolution of their operational queries;

  • Provide specialist advice to acquisition projects for MPS Interface;

  • Provision of input data and production of system output data

  • Maintain knowledge of Allied Force Deployments; and

  • Perform other MPS support tasking as directed.

    As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Military Operations and Procedures;

  • Demonstrated knowledge of specialised area of aviation relevant to the support region;

  • Advanced Office Computing Application knowledge in Win 10, Excel, Word, Access & XML; and

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADF Aviation MPS (JMPS) and applicable software elements.

  • The ability to obtain a TSPV Security Clearance.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • In-depth knowledge of JMPS.

  • Knowledge of ADF Command and Support systems.
