Description:

Chemical company in Cassopolis is hiring for chemical operators on 3rd shift. The company supplies several industries including personal care/cosmetics, thermal transfer, automotive, home care, industrial coatings, healthcare, etc. Looking for someone eager to learn and grow that is creative in problem solving and humble, willing to ask questions without hesitation.

Shift hours:

3rd: 11pm - 7am

$18-22/hr

6% shift differential for 3rd

Job description:

The Chemical Operator I, operates equipment or semiautomatic system that processes chemicals into specified products. Ability to

operate at least 1 work cell.

Job duties:

• Build production batches

• Read, follow, fill out and maintain batch paperwork

• Load and unload chemicals

• Operate pumps and filters

• Monitor temps and run speeds

• Trouble shoot basic equipment to determine problems, put in work orders for repairs

• Maintain work area for housekeeping, safety and 6S

• Work with team to achieve KPIs

• Follow set initiatives to improve quality, cleanliness, safety, and productivity, and to reduce cost

MUST HAVES:

• 1-3 years of batch mixing experience

• 1-3 years of similar operator experience

• Basic math

• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• High school diploma or GED

Would be nice:

• Previous chemical operating experience

• Forklift experience

• ERP or SAP experience
