Job Summary Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc. is looking for a motivated and personable individual for the position of District Sales Manager - Metal Building Components for our North Carolina/ South Carolina territory. In this role, the District Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales goals through direct sales, and cultivating relationships with both existing and prospect customers in order to increase market share. Responsibilities • As the District Sales Manager, meet or exceed sales targets and goals • Develop and execute sales strategies that ensure successful marketing for Whirlwind Steel Building Inc.’s product portfolio • Develop and maintain customer relationships with new and/or existing customers in order to remain competitive and gain market share • Monitor and analyze competitive activities, and develop strategies to take advantage of current market opportunities • Collaborate with corporate Marketing and Professional Services teams to obtain corporate specifications and acquire new project opportunities within the assigned district • Implement catalog and established pricing strategies to meet customer requirements in a manner advantageous to Whirlwind Steel Building Inc. • Prepare customer and activity reports, and provide timely and accurate monthly sales forecasts Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field • 5+ years of successful sales experience in the metal building components industry • Extensive knowledge of construction and fabrication industry • Superior understanding of metal building component systems • Ability to travel to customer locations within the district • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team EEOC Statement Whirlwind Steel Buildings, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all individuals, regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
