Discovery Biology Unit provides validated discovery assays, including in vitro assays (HTS, SAR screening support, compound selectivity and early safety profiling, and cancer cell panel profiling) and in vivo disease models in cardiovascular, CNS, respiratory, metabolic and infectious diseases. Founded in 2008, we have multiple function teams of 500 scientists, including 11% PhD, 55% MSc, and led by 12 experienced scientific leaders with an average of 15 years of R&D experience in the US, Canada, and UK.

Job Location: Chengdu, China

Responsibilities

• Responsible for research and development projects on hiPSC as well as derived neural cells, including 1) responsible for iPSC culture, differentiation (including but not limited to neural and cardiac cells, etc.); 2) responsible for the somatic cells reprogramming; 3) responsible for identification of iPSC derived cells (including but not limited to qPCR, FACS, etc.).

• Take the lead in internal and external collaboration; As the study designer, ensure effective communication and assist in team supervision as needed.

• Responsible for other related work like operation and compliance assigned by the related departments.

Qualifications

1. Master's or PhD degree in majors such as stem cell, reprogramming, re-differentiation, virology, neurobiology, etc.

2. Solid basic knowledge of iPSC in the areas of Neurology and/or Cardiology. Stem cell, Reprogramming, Re-differentiation, virology, neurobiology or related majors. 3 years of iPSC related R&D experience required for Master degree or PhD degree.

3. Project management. Ability to design, launch, execute and report the projects, including but not limited literatures collection, data analyzing and results presentation.

4. Team management. Responsible for tech-related SOPs and training in the group.

5. Proficiency in English. Able to read, write and communicate with clients and colleagues.

6. Well demonstrated in logical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility, and teamwork spirits.
