Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Director of Finance and Operations in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting chance to lead finance operations in a hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will have a blended background in human resources/operations and accounting/finance, and will be expected to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and overseeing all finance and general day-to-day operations and human resources functions

• Implementing and refining accounting functions for optimal efficiency

• Accounts payable/accounts receivable, billing, payroll

• Conducting auditing processes to ensure financial transparency and compliance

• Developing and managing budget processes to align with company objectives

• Performing cash flow analysis and forecasting to inform business decisions

• Utilizing QuickBooks Online for financial management and reporting

• Ensuring tech-savvy solutions are implemented across finance operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a blended finance and operations role or similar senior-level management position within the finance and operations sector.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.

• Experience with onboarding new employees.

• Demonstrable experience in managing budget processes and conducting cash flow analysis.

• Proficiency in using financial software, preferably QuickBooks Online.

• Strong leadership skills and ability to make strategic decisions based on financial data.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.

• Demonstrable commitment to ethical financial practices and corporate transparency.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Strong understanding of financial laws and regulations.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.

• Strong financial modelling and forecasting abilities.
