Job Title: Facilities Manager

Location: Davis, CA (fully onsite)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: $100k/yr - $120k/yr DOE

The Facilities Manager must ensure all maintenance, construction and repairs are completed on-time, within budget, without disruption to business operations and in a safe manner. Incumbent will anticipate, execute as well as coordinate tasks and projects for the Davis Factory. This position is expected to be a self-sufficient and self-directed individual, monitoring all systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, waste management, etc.), acting as needed to properly maintain all property and equipment to perform as intended and remain in compliance, utilizing additional resources and implementing policies and procedures as necessary. Responsibilities include both managerial and hands-on activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate, inspect & direct facility maintenance and repairs as needed for all aspects of the building structure, support equipment, and surrounding property:

  • Building

  • Landscaping/irrigation systems & specialties

  • Electrical, lighting & controls, and solar systems

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC systems & environmental/temperature & humidity controls

  • Structural/foundations, flooring & suspended ceilings

  • Roofing, glazing & window systems, and waterproofing

  • Drywall, wall coverings, painting, finishes & specialties

  • Doors/auto & overhead roll-up

  • Office furniture, suspended ceilings

  • Overhead cranes, forklifts, and vertical lifts

  • Compressed air systems

  • Fire suppression systems

  • Security cameras & controlled access points

  • Storm water drainage systems, underground piping, and runoff

  • Pest control

  • Parking lots, sidewalks & loading docks

  • Exterior/interior signage, striping & sealing

  • Provide project management, develop schedules, and coordinate design and scope for various projects, alterations, and additions to the existing buildings and surrounding property

  • Communicate and work effectively across multiple teams and departments to provide value engineering/consultation services and to achieve project completion

  • Daily maintenance, including hands-on tasks

  • Manage vendors, including requests for quotations, vendor selection, and oversight of work for quality, cost, on-time delivery, completed punch-list as well as warranty performance.

  • Direct, consult, research, order & procure materials as needed for various projects and facilities needs

  • Performing all other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in all aspects of facilities maintenance

  • Direct experience managing preventative maintenance programs

  • Direct experience with OSHA, environmental compliance and all applicable local and federal regulations

  • Proficient with electrical wiring, troubleshooting and schematics

  • Proficient with reading and interpreting mechanical, assembly and architectural drawings

  • Direct experience with mechanical maintenance and repairs

  • Direct supervision of commercial construction

  • Direct experience working with municipalities for permitting

  • Direct experience with contracting and vendor management

  • Existing network of local contractors and vendors

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, TEAMS)

  • Proficient with AutoCAD or equivalent

  • Experience working in a production environment is a plus

Work Environment:

Will spend time in various manufacturing environments. Exposure to possible hazards include: noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, heights, and other automated and manual machinery.
