Position SummaryThis position performs analyses pertaining to the forecasting, budgeting and reporting of the Commercial minimum Medical Loss Ratio calculations. We are looking for this role to work on existing actuarial models and develop new analytical tools & processes to calculate and report the expected Commercial MLR rebates. This person will act as a resource to other actuarial and finance areas requiring information pertaining to MLR.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Support the end to end MLR filing process and submission of MLR forms to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).

  • Participate in other actuarial functions pertaining to the quarterly close and various projects.

  • Maintain and develop enhancements to processes, tools and models. Make suggestions to maximize efficiency.

  • Respond to routine inquiries in an accurate and timely manner, create and maintain accurate documentation and help develop training materials for tools and processes.

  • Independently collaborate with actuarial, finance, peers, and other decision makers and demonstrate critical thinking.

  • Position provides opportunity for growth by becoming a leader and mentor for new employees moving into role.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in an actuarial or finance role.

  • 2+ years of experience with MS Office, specifically Excel including proficiency in VBA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, advanced Excel skills, advanced analytical skills and attention to details.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $107,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
