This is a Temporary Position.  Dates of employment are from 3/24/2024 to 12/15/2024.  Order holding office to refer applicants. Referrals will be accepted from the State Workforce Agencies, directly from applicants, walk-ins, gate hires, and from other sources. SWA's should thoroughly familiarize each applicant with the job specifications of employment before a referral is made. Workers must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Are available and indicate willingness to work the entire season.

2. Have transportation to job site at start of season for non-local workers and daily for local workers.

3. Have been fully apprised by the local employment office of the terms, conditions and nature of employment.

4. Are legally entitled to work in the U.S. 5. Are able, willing and qualified to perform the work. Workers must possess documentation required to enable employer to comply with the employment verification requirements. Accurate completion of form I-9 will be required of each worker within 3 days of employment pursuant to U.S. Law. Perform duties like: All phases of crop production including but not limited to, prepping of soil for planting, planting, trellising and maintenance, shoot positioning, pruning, leaf removal, spraying, weed control, hedging, mowing, operation of farm equipment including tractors, harvesters, and specialty vineyard equipment, harvesting and storage of crops, light maintenance, service and cleaning of all equipment. Equipment: Tractors, grape harvesters, sprayers, hedgers, leaf remover and mowers

Perform duties like: All phases of crop and vineyard production, including but not limited to prepping of soil for planting, planting, trellising and maintenance, shoot positioning, thinning and pruning, leaf removal, netting, desuckering, fruit thinning, spraying, weed control, hedging, mowing, harvesting, grape picking, sorting and packaging, harvesting, baling and storage of crops, operation of farm equipment including tractors, harvesters, farm vehicles, pick up trucks, wagons, gondolas, elevators, picking lugs, macro bins, tanks, wire jenny's, post pounders, various small hand tools, and specialty vineyard equipment for harvesting and storage of crops including light maintenance, service and cleaning of equipment. Equipment used: including but not limited to tractors, harvesters, tillage, farm vehicles, pickup trucks, wagons, gondolas, elevators, sprayers, hedgers, leaf removers, mowers, picking lugs, macro bins, tanks, wire jenny's, post pounders, various small hand tools, and specialty vineyard equipment for harvesting and storage of crops. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently.
