An EHS Technician is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Lenexa, KS area. The EHS Technician role involves maintaining and testing manufacturing machines, collaborating with engineers, ensuring safety compliance, and possessing expertise in equipment maintenance, repair, and EH&S protocols.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Maintain and test manufacturing machines.

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure steady production.

• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

• Address downtime and repair requirements promptly.

• Perform weekly/monthly checks, repairs, and certifications on safety equipment.

• Purchase and maintain fire extinguishers, wet & dry fire suppression systems, fire alarm and detection systems, generators, eyewash stations, safety showers, elevators, security systems, first aid equipment, and AEDs.

• Ensure proper interior and exterior warning signage and lighting.

Desired Skills:

• ARC Flash.

• ZESP.

• LOTO (Lockout/Tagout).

• HAZWOPR (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response).

• Elevated Work.

• Forklift operation.

• Aerial Lifts operation.

• Hoists and Rigging.

• Fire suppression techniques.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
