Primary Function:
Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, organize, and manage manufacturing workflows.
Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes utilizing Work Instructions and other instructional aides.
Design, draft, and implement assembly and test related fixtures and other production aides.
Participate in MRB activities including investigating, root causing, and dispositioning of non-conforming materials.
Troubleshoot and determine root causes of assembly/test related problems using design data such as test procedures, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Support Operations with day-to-day activities such as assembly and test related issues.
Review new design data releases and updates for manufacturability concerns and impacts on the Operations environment.
Create and provide various trainings for Operations personnel.
Manage all Calibration and Preventative Maintenance schedules for equipment & tooling.
Identify and develop production capabilities using Lean Manufacturing and other principles.
Required
Minimum of Associates degree in related field.
Strong understanding of manufacturing process controls and techniques.
Familiarity with tools and equipment such as torque wrenches and power supplies.
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and able to provide feedback in a constructive manner.
Able to manage multiple ongoing projects and tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Proficient in database management and with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred
Working knowledge of ISO/Aerospace standards.
Proficient in SolidWorks.
Working knowledge of various electrical equipment such as a DMM’s, Oscilloscopes, and Power Supplies.
Project management ability.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of RF test equipment such as Signal Generators and Network/Spectrum Analyzers.
Safety Requirements:
Must follow all safety requirements of the job as outlined in the safety policy
May be required to handle hazardous waste and follow proper safety procedures for storage and disposal
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
