Job Description: IT Test Lead

Position Overview:

The Testing Manager will lead and manage all aspects of testing efforts for a Global organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The role involves strategic planning, maintaining testing standards and collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure that solutions meet or exceed the specified requirements and quality benchmarks. The main responsibility will be to ensure all releases are delivered with high quality. This position will have a key focus on automated testing and improving the test script repository of reusable test scripts leveraged by Business and IT functions to execute testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement testing strategies and plans for software products, including manual and automated testing approaches.

  • Develop strong partnership with Hologic’s Quality team including defining metrics and performing on-going evaluation of testing activities in alignment with Hologic’s Quality department standards.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a robust test script repository to support a variety of testing needs.

  • Oversee the execution of test cases, test scripts, and test data.

  • Collaborate with business partners and software development, to understand product requirements and to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Monitor and control the testing process and ensure adherence to timelines.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in testing, including test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies to support the testing process.

  • Report on testing activities, including test results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered, and their status.

  • Manage the defect tracking process and ensure effective communication of defect details and impact.

  • Facilitate the resolution of issues that arise during the testing process by working with development teams and other stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by reviewing current practices and suggesting enhancements.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends.

  • Analyze the results of testing and provide regular progress reports to the management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Testing Manager or similar role in a software development environment.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

  • Experience with Copado, Salesforce.com, MuleSoft, and Oracle eBusiness Suite is a plus

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development are a plus.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $106,000 to $166,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
