SRS Distribution Inc. Recruiting Manager - Emerging Talent in McKinney, Texas

The Emerging Talent Recruiting Manager will take a hands-on approach as a player/coach in full-cycle recruiting, recruiting strategy and recruitment marketing of SRS Distribution / Heritage Family of Companies’ best in class internship and post-graduate Management Trainee programs. This position requires you to partner with, and advise, regional and corporate leadership on initial recruiting strategy all the way through to hire for trainee roles at our at our distribution centers as well as corporate headquarters around the United States. This role will be based out of our corporate headquarters in McKinney, TX.

Specific functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the University/Emerging Talent Recruiting Team

  • Creating and executing recruiting strategy at universities and other avenues across the country.

  • Research university major programs and partner with professors, student organizations and career centers to increase our brand recognition at universities.

  • Coach and advise internal stakeholders on emerging talent recruiting strategies, processes, and best practices

  • Writing, posting, and maintaining job ads to multiple job boards, social media and universities for all corporate and branch opportunities.

  • Partner with Marketing team to create collateral and online marketing materials like flyers, brochures and presentations for professors, student organizations, and recruiting events

  • Manage CRM to keep students, professors, student organizations and career centers up to speed on our growing company

  • Present information about our programs and company at universities through events like career fairs, classroom presentations, student organization events (on and off campus)

  • Facilitate and manage the summer internship program

  • Ad-hoc special projects and planning events.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends within the early career recruiting landscape

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working as a Recruiter or Program Manager in Emerging Talent/University Recruiting preferably

  • Leadership experience preferred with a minimum of one year leading university recruiting program(s)

  • Extremely personable and outgoing recruiting manager who leads by example, is a good listener and evaluator.

  • University relationship building with established relationships preferred.

  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office. You will be utilizing your creative writing skills to create marketing materials and job descriptions in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as managing our budget and KPIs for university events.

  • ATS: Documenting, reporting, and maintaining the applicant flow in Workday or similar robust applicant tracking system. Experience required using university databases like RippleMatch, Handshake, Symplicity and other platforms used by career centers.

  • Extremely organized with attention to detail and able to juggle multiple priorities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as most of your day will be communicating by phone, email and online.

  • Professional and effective while interacting and communicating with all types of people

  • Availability and flexibility to travel for campus recruiting activities within the US, mainly in the months of September, October, November, February, March and April

  • Experience in developing job descriptions/ads, posting opportunities, sourcing candidates, and closing jobs.

  • Strategic and creative searching, sourcing, and networking experience to build relationships and find talent before they even have a chance to find you.

  • Social media enthusiast, experienced in LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
