Amazon Sr. Consumer Insights Manager, Amazon Payments in New York, New York

Do you have a passion for understanding what delights customers? Are you excited about influencing the payment experience of millions of customers worldwide? The Payment Acceptance and Experience Marketing team is looking for an analytical and consumer-focused senior market researcher to join our team. This person will own research looking to understand consumer behavior that will help shape the direction and momentum of key customer facing programs. With an innate ability to humanize consumer research, this person will own multiple insight initiatives to help inform brand & product strategy, customer experience and marketing effectiveness. This role requires an individual with a passion for consumer behavior, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. This person will need to influence internal and external stakeholders, and use data to make key strategic business decisions that drive value for customers globally. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Key job responsibilities

· Leads Research projects leveraging existing data (e.g. secondary research, business analytics) and conducts end to end primary research priority projects.

· Understand complex business problems across teams, geographies and product lines to create hypotheses and translate this into analysis requirements and identify significant insights that help Amazon improve our customer experience.

· Study management: Lead large and complex studies including: scope alignment with local and international business leaders, design, data collection, data analysis, recommendations and presenting results to senior management worldwide

· Stakeholder management: Work with business teams to understand business questions, knowledge gap, priorities and collaborate with them on programs and actions to improve our customers’ experience.

· Share best practices and results: Drive continuous improvement; partner with colleagues across multiple teams to identify areas for collaboration, standard methodologies and product development.

· Effective communication and executive writing to drive business decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
