Family Support Advocate Type: Full Time and part time opportunities available Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 New! \$1,500 Sign-on Bonus Are you looking for rewarding work with adults with different abilities in the community? As a Family Support Advocate, you will work with adults in Family Support programming and provide emotional support, guidance and resources to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. This includes assistance with social networking, recreational activities, community safety, health care issues, and physical and behavioral challenges. Some afternoon and evening hours are required. Requirements At least 18 years old with High School Diploma or equivalent Life or work experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, preferably ASD Ability to use a computer to enter case notes; communicate by email, video conferencing, etc. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Be able to handle emergency situations Have certification in CPR/First Aid or ability to be certified Valid driver?s license, safe driving record, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check Benefits Employee sign on bonus program Earn two weeks vacation in first year of employment, three week rate after first year Three personal days per year Earn up to seven sick days per year 403(b) retirement program with company match after one year (1000 hours requirement) Mileage reimbursement Tuition remission program Employee referral program and more!
