Seacoast Mental Health Center Facilities Manager in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Supervise and ensure maintenance and risk management of all facility, safety, and environment related functions for all vehicles, buildings and properties that Seacoast Mental Health Center owns and/or operates; and ensure that these functions comply with all legal, insurance/risk, Board of Health, and Life Safety Code standards.

  1. Housekeeping and Maintenance - Coordinate the routine, periodic and daily cleaning,

maintaining and repairing of all of the equipment, buildings and grounds according to industry best practices. This includes supervision of maintenance staff and contracting for services or repairs. Ordering of all building supplies, cleaning equipment and paper goods needed for the maintenance of the Agency. Keeping track of the costs of utilities and other occupancy expenses.

  1. Inspection and Safety - Perform regular and ongoing facility and equipment

inspections of all major systems at each of the properties. Deal with all emergency preparedness plans for natural disasters, major accidents and linkages with other civil defense-type agencies. Orient new staff to safety issues and training in the use of fire extinguishers and the fire drill and other disaster procedures; and conduct regular and ongoing fire drills in each of the facilities. Review and resolve safety issues as reported within Incident Reports. Check and maintain first-aid kits. Oversee safety control, including acting as Chair of the Risk Management Committee.

  1. Equipment - Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all current equipment and new acquisitions. This includes affixing of asset tags on all capital purchases, as well as taking an annual inventory of all fixed assets. Oversee the maintenance, repair and/or storage of all used or unused property.

  2. Policies and Procedures - Establish official written policies and procedures in all areas of responsibility. Ensure and oversee the continued implementation of management plans for Electrical Safety, Emergency Preparation, Utilities, Hazard Communication, and Life Safety.

  3. Transportation - Inspect, maintain and insure repair all of the vehicles.

  4. Other duties as required.
