Meeting Street is currently looking for a Family Support Worker (Bilingual Preferred) for Healthy Families America working 40 hours weekly.

Duties:

  • Work directly with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking families with young children to provide family-centered, strength-based interventions directed at establishing a trusting relationship within the family to optimize parent/child relationships.
  • Provide curriculum-based prenatal health and early childhood health and development education to families to promote the childs well-being and safety.
  • Assess additional needs or crisis situations and make referrals to other community resources to support the overall health, safety, and well-being of the family.
  • Maintain a caseload of families by coordinating meetings directly with them in a variety of formats to meet them where they are, including by phone, virtual video chat or in-person.
  • Thoroughly and objectively document the functioning status of families and report data within program deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred in Human Services, Child Development, Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with or providing services to children and families.
  • Experience providing support to high-risk populations with social/emotional needs, for example, trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health concerns etc.
  • Drivers License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments.
