dormakaba USA, Inc. Assembler I in Reamstown, Pennsylvania

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an Assembler I, 1st shift 6AM -- 2:30PM based in Reamstown. The Assembler I is responsible for operating a saw, a lathe, a drill press, an electric hoist, various handheld power tools, and various small hand tools to assist in the production operations and assembly of various components. They will also package components and assemblies for shipment to outside finishers and/or to customers.  

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $19 - $25 plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepares work to be assembled, studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and material
  • Packages products to meet standards
  • Checks specifications by inspecting completed assemblies and rejects if established quality standards are not met
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Demonstrated mechanical abilities

WHAT WE PREFER

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Certification
  • Previous experience in a production environment
  • Experience working with various metals
