Salary: $245,588/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Duties:
Develop and advance computer vision algorithms and SW systems for visual odometry and large-scale 3D reconstruction. Research, design, and develop new algorithms and techniques to build 3D maps. Apply geometric computer vision techniques to estimate camera poses, depth maps, and meshes to reconstruct a 3D scene at Facebook's scale. Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across both machine and human perception teams at Facebook to develop experiments, prototypes, and concepts that advance the state-of-the-art. Gather data for machine-learning training; train new models and run experiments. Adapt standard machine learning or traditional methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU). Suggest, collect, and synthesize requirements and create effective feature technology and product roadmap. Identify potential improvements in the company's software and technology products. Deliver code in tandem with the engineering team.
Requirements:
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or computer-related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following: 1. Geometric computer vision; 2. Camera tracking; 3. C++; 4. Application of computational photography methods to real world problems; 5. Leveraging AI algorithms; 6. Working on highly efficient 3D reconstruction algorithms.
