Phillips 66 Field Technician - Fairview/Seiling, OK in Seiling, Oklahoma

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Field Technician to join our P66 midstream team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various duties within booster stations and along pipeline rows. This role requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently in remote locations while also collaborating effectively within a broader operational team. This position supports the Cimarron Gathering region (with offices in Fairview and Seiling, OK areas).

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities. (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory),

  • Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.

  • Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operation of gas compression equipment.

  • Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures.

  • Responds to One-call tickets, marking buried utilities/pipelines.

  • Performs PM work on natural gas engines and compressors.

  • Performs light maintenance (work that can be done without a crane body truck) on natural gas engines and compressors. May include changing compressor valves, auxiliary equipment, filters, etc.

  • Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.

  • Able to respond to call outs and troubleshoot and repair equipment inside booster stations.

  • Conducts routine inspection, calibration, and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc.

  • Always prioritizes personal safety and the safety of others.

  • Capable of prioritizing work based on operational and company needs.

  • Maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices.

  • Performs and accurately documents regulatory required inspections.

  • Performs shut-ins, blowdowns, and LTT or LOTO of complex natural gas gathering pipelines and facilities.

  • May oversee contractors providing specialty services.

  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

  • Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location.

  • 1 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

  • Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • To frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • To push/pull forces up to 130 pounds.

  • To regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for durations of up to 30 minutes.

  • To climb various stairs and ladders.

  • To work extended hours which may include evenings, weekends and holidays and be available for callout.

  • To work either inside or outside in conditions that may include heat, humidity, or other inclement weather.

  • To safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment.

  • To wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

  • 1 year or more work experience as field technician or field operator in the G&P natural gas space.

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and IOS based applications.

Midstream

Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities.
