Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Description We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry. This role is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and involves handling accounts receivable duties within a dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate customer invoices on a monthly basis

• Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records

• Verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment

• Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are applied correctly

• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger with the general ledger

• Resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices

• Handle customer inquiries regarding bills or payments

• Assist with month-end closing activities such as preparing journal entries

• Develop reports related to accounts receivable activity

• Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve billing issues or disputes

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to accounts receivable activities. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience with Billing procedures and processes is necessary

• Familiarity with Cash Applications is crucial

• Experience with Cash Collections is a must

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Demonstrated ability to work in the Healthcare/NHS industry is preferred

• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable Clerk role or similar is beneficial

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively is necessary

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think critically are needed

• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in the Healthcare/NHS industry is beneficial
