JEVS Human Services Recruiter in United States

The recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).

This role is hybrid, at least 3 days onsite required weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.

  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.

  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within assigned programs

  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

  • Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.

  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.

  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers, as needed (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).

  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all funder regulations and federal/state laws and regulations.

  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

    Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, or other related field of study, required

  • 2+ years’ experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, required; recruiting experience with human services or related industry preferred

  • Prior experience with an ATS, required

  • Experience with ADP, preferred.

  • Must have excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel

The base pay for this position ranges from $47,000 to $58,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
