Sales Engineering - Ninja/ COE Lab Manager Location: Atlanta / Georgia

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The position is for a Sales Engineer Ninja combined with Center of Excellence (COE) lab manager role, with location in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sales Engineer Ninja

The role is aimed at experienced pre-sales sales engineers with deep domain knowledge in Retail and deep technical skills who have the agility and the creativity to design and implement a comprehensive technical solution, while solving technology issues, removing internal roadblocks, and putting in place the technology approach needed to ensure customer adoption of the proposed solution.

The Ninja role is part of a global sales engineering team focused on NCR Voyix’s next-generation platform strategy, defining and documenting global best practices, capabilities and standards, and leveraging them across customer-facing teams. The primary mission of this position are driving increased platform lane adoption, returning revenue growth and increase in customer satisfaction.

Center of Excellence (COE) Lab Manager

The NCR Voyix Center of Excellence is located in the Global Headquarters (GHQ) in Atlanta and serves as the premier customer experience center for the company. As such the COE lab manager has the role of ensuring availability of the NCR Voyix software solutions deployed in the COE, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and resolution of any issues which might occur in the lab in collaboration with the Engineering teams, as well as designing innovative, groundbreaking use cases which can represent compelling experiences for strategic customer engagements. The COE lab manager will interact with the relevant Engineering and Services teams for the different solution areas across point of sale, self checkout, payments, platform and applications represented in the COE.

The role requires proven experience in pre-sales/customer-facing roles with 3+ years in the retail industry and exceptional customer-focus and bias for action.

Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Demonstrate deep domain knowledge on a technical level

  • Ability to install, deploy and configure one or more NCR Voyix solutions including point of sale

  • Jointly define and create use cases for customer journeys including application development and integration of different applications as needed

  • Ability set up and configure customer proof-of-concept environments

  • Lead customer presentations, solution demos and detailed workshops of the relevant NCR Voyix solution set to customer stakeholders

  • Contribute to the Sales team enablement including creation of documentation and training material as writings and recordings

  • Establish a meaningful partnership with Product management and Engineering on advancing NCR Voyix products

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields including Computer Science

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales/customer-facing/technical roles

  • 3+ years of experience in Retail industry

  • Deep technical understanding of Software Solutions including experience in software development

  • Previous customer-facing experience selling software including skilled software demos

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent other Cloud provider certification(s)
