Insight Global is looking for a Senior Operational Research Scientist to sit remotely for one of our transportation solutions clients. This person will work individually to research, formulate, and execute a plan to solve complex issues the business is facing. They will be responsible for researching on their own by reading articles and any other material pertaining to the issues, then developing algorithms from scratch to optimize processes and solutions.

Skills and Requirements

* Master's degree in operations research, systems engineering, industrial engineering, Applied Math or similar, PhD preferred.

* 2+ years of industry experience

* Experience developing and parameterizing mathematical programs, such as linear, Nonlinear, integer, quadratic and/or stochastic programs.

* Experience developing and coding simulation, Heuristic and Metaheuristic algorithms from scratch using Python or C+ * Skilled in manipulating large amounts of data using SQL

* Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure * Data Science/ML background.

* Experience working in the transportation, logistics, or similar industry. null
