Email Developer

REMOTE position - preferred local to Chicago but open to candidates in the US.

6 months contract to start. Expected to be extended past 6 months

40 hours a week, paid weekly

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in HTML/CSS for email development with a portfolio of past work.

• Experience with multiple email service providers (ESP’s) and understanding of email rendering.

• Experience with WYSIWYG email builders and how the code they create is generated and rendered.

• Knowledge of email compliance and deliverability best practices including GDPR and CAN-SPAM.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

• 3+ Years experience building and troubleshooting emails in HTML and CSS.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• College degree.

• Experience with Stripo email template builder tool.

• Experience with SendGrid, Acoustic, and/or Adobe AEM.

• Experience with Litmus email rendering tool.

• Experience with JavaScript.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and code responsive email templates using HTML/CSS.

• Test and troubleshoot email templates across multiple platforms and email clients using inbox testing and Litmus.

• Implement email personalization and dynamic content to enhance user engagement.

• Prepare and design templates, manage scheduling, and QC testing.

• Document implementation and testing processes as well as any best practices.

• Day-to-day activities will be a mix of email template creation and refinement using our WYSIWYG tool (Stripo), and updating existing templates built with HTML and CSS.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma/GED required and 3+ year work experience.
