Valley National Bank Consumer Loan Support Specialist in Fairfield, New Jersey

The Consumer Loan Support Specialist will be responsible for data entry for all Consumer Loan Products into the appropriate system. Communicate decisions to branches and prepare closing documents. Ensure compliance with mailing of Adverse Action Notices. Clear Fraud Alerts and perform OFAC searches.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Data Enter all loan applications into the Harland, TSYS or other systems.
  • Prepare closing documents for Consumer Loans to send to the branches.
  • Ensure proper storage of appications are maintained electronically.
  • Check and clear all OFAC alerts through AML and Bridger Program.
  • Verify all customer credit disputes through E-Oscars.
  • Amend credit reporting of accounts as required.
  • Reply to customer complaint letters and log into tracking data base.
  • Monthly Hotlist Reconciliation.
  • Prepare Credit Risk Base Letters.
  • Ensure Adverse Action Letters are printed and sent to be compliant.
  • Clear Fraud Alerts with Customers.
  • Print Zeus supporting documents for loan officer review.
  • Communicate by phone and email with Branches and underwriting regarding loan submissions.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML/BSA Compliance Department. For supervisory positions, ensure BSA training requirements are completed by staff.
  • Serve as backup to other Department functions; such as opening on Harland new dealer accounts, mailing out adverse action letters, setting Loan Officer work queues, report daily attendance, printing applications from all branches via e-mail and web-apps from the internet.
  • Tracks and follows up on incomplete applications submitted for review. Correct and resend adverse action letters as required.
  • Assist in QC functions for the department.

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft word, excel, outlook (email) and an understanding of databases.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of related clerical/data entry experience.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
$31,500.00
$55,200.00
