Randstad is seeking an experienced Machinist. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with lathes, milling machines and grinders. Skills required are: Blueprint/Schematic Reading, Precision Measuring Devices, and Inspection. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and precision instruments.

Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other tools.

Inspect completed units for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools.

Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.

Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process.

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine fabrication methods and sequences of operations.

Maintain industrial machines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.

Disassemble machines for inspection and repair, replacing defective parts as needed.

Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machinist.

Proficiency in using machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

Ability to use measuring tools including scales, micrometers, and calipers.

Knowledge of metal properties and material characteristics.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
