Robert Half Compliance Coordinator in Palm Desert, California

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Palm Desert, California, as a Payroll Administrator. This role is pivotal in managing our compliance and payroll administration processes, as well as providing HR support. The job function will include ensuring adherence to regulations, conducting audits, overseeing payroll processes, and assisting with HR-related tasks. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements

• Conduct regular audits to assess compliance levels and identify areas for improvement

• Oversee the payroll process, including timekeeping, payroll calculations, and distribution

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance, payroll, and HR activities

• Assist with various HR-related tasks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and file maintenance

• Coordinate employee training programs on compliance-related topics

• Support the recruitment process by posting job openings and assisting with the interview process

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Utilize ADP - Payroll and HR Compliance skills to perform tasks efficiently. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Administrator role or a similar position.

• Demonstrated proficiency in ADP - Payroll is required.

• Knowledge and understanding of HR Compliance is essential.

• Candidates should have strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Ability to work independently and in a team is crucial.

• Should possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy is expected.

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary.

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Experience with payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels is required.

• Familiarity with payroll best practices and current regulations is a plus.

• Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
