Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in the transport industry, based in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. The role entails supporting the creation, implementation, and ongoing requirements of our operations, with a focus on improving efficiency in various aspects of supply chains.

Responsibilities:

• Process full Pricing Requests and support RFQ pricing

• Prepare Sales Proposals and maintain Quick Quote system

• Implement customer solutions and provide support for sales and operations

• Design innovative solutions to enhance operational productivity in supply chains

• Engage and support the Sales Team in the acquisition of new business

• Establish professional relations with overseas offices and global strategic alliances

• Continuously review and negotiate partner contracts

• Manage all US ocean freight contracts ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Maintain up to date information on carrier rates and contracts

• Resolve issues related to shipments and pricing within the operations department

• Provide back-up support within the teams and ensure compliance with government regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics role within the Transport industry

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas and other Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality

• Knowledge of logistics systems and processes

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior experience with inventory management software is a plus.
