Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR) collections and exceptional customer service capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, from invoicing to collections, while maintaining positive relationships with clients and ensuring timely payments. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Management:

• Generate and send out accurate and timely invoices to customers.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts promptly.

• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.

• Process payments received and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.

Collections:

• Implement and maintain an effective collections strategy to minimize outstanding AR balances.

• Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to facilitate payment of overdue invoices.

• Negotiate payment plans and terms with delinquent customers when necessary.

• Document all collection activities and update customer records accordingly.

Customer Service:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and accounts receivable.

• Provide prompt and courteous responses to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to foster trust and loyalty.

• Address customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis and collection forecasts.

• Analyze AR data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on AR performance metrics.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing, collections, and customer interactions.

• Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards and regulations affecting accounts receivable processes.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience in accounts receivable management, including collections and customer service.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the finance or accounting industry is preferred.
